An India man shocked the Abu Dhabi airport staff when they checked his passport. The date of birth on his passport reads 08/08/1896, which would make Swami Sivananda the world's oldest person at 123 years old.
The claim is raising a lot of eyebrows, because the Indian monk certainly doesn't look like what you'd imagine a 123 year old would look like.
The elderly man lost both parents before he was six and was given to a spiritual guru by relatives, whom he travelled with around India before settling in Varanasi.
It is hard to tell whether he actually is 123 because the only record of his age comes from a temple register.
In a 2016 interview, Sivananda said: "I lead a simple and disciplined life. I eat very simply - only boiled food without oil or spices, rice and boiled daal (lentil stew) with a couple of green chillies."
Sivananda is just two inches taller than five feet, and he claims to sleep on a mat on the floor, using only a wooden slab as a pillow.
The person recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as being the oldest living human is Kane Tanaka of Japan, aged 116 years and 278 days.
