'Rage Yoga' Is A Thing, And It Involves Swearing And Drinking

Yoga is often associated with deep breathing, calming music, and being really bendy, but there's a new type that exists now: Rage Yoga.

Founder of Rage Yoga Lindsay Istace says, "It's meant to be a different approach to yoga for those who find their peaceful center in a different way." She adds that the practice "involves a little bit of extra chaos and a sense of humor." It incorporates traditional yoga postures and breathing with alternative principles-- such as war cries, heavy metal guitar riffs, f-bombs, and even booze. Intensity and difficulty depends on the instructor and class, but Istace says, "No matter what you can expect an awesome soundtrack, the opportunity for some emotional release, and to walk out feeling a little more bada**."
