Today's Dating Scene has created "KITTENFISHING"

If you are currently in the dating scene, there's a good chance that you use apps like Tinder and Bumble. How often has it happened where we meet up with the person and they don't look ANYTHING like their photos that made you swipe right in the first place?

Well the dating app, Hinge has just coined a new term called KITTENFISHING, which is an EVEN LOWER form of catfishing where a person is an expert at making them self look far better on their dating profiles than in person. They either use a ton of makeup or filters in pictures or old photos, lie about their age, or even their lifestyle.

Women aren't the only ones guilty of this either, guys are definitely doing this too.

With Instagram and snap chat being the two most commonly used apps specifically for their filters, it's no real surprise why or how some people are trying to make those fake and phony images a reality.

A 35 year old DJ from London named Danny Green says that he's been kittenfished so many times that he put a disclaimer on his profile saying "PLEASE, NO DOG FILTERS"-Ouch. He even said, "I think we should all just be a bit more honest and we’ll stand a better chance of meeting someone who appreciates the way we actually look.”
