#GrandpaCore Is The New Fashion Craze

Forget about looking young, today’s fashionistas are all about the greatest generation. First, we had the “coastal grandmother” fashion trend which involved chunky cable knit sweaters and button-down shirts. But now trendsetters have their eyes set on “grandpa core,” which is more about sweater vests, vintage loafers, and tweed blazers.

The nod toward the elderly aesthetic made its way to TikTok with the hashtag #GrandpaCore racking up 16.5 million views as of a few days ago.

How committed to this trend is everyone? One clip shows “that grandpa core” look with comments like, “If I don’t look like a grandpa, I don’t want it” and “I’m starting to realize old people just have better style.”
