New York has come up with a novel solution to the hand sanitizer shortage. They're manufacturing their own - and prisoners are the ones making it.
This week, Governor Andrew Cuomo introduced 'NYS Clean Hand Sanitizer', which will be available free of charge to New York residents and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
The sanitizer, which costs the state about $6 per gallon, is being produced by prisoners at the Great Meadow Correctional Facility. Those prisoners will crank out 100,000 gallons of sanitizer per week and are being paid less than 65 cents per hour.
Some people are upset they're making so little. I wonder how much of the make up is URINE....Just kidding....I think....
