Police are blaming a two-car accident that occurred in Layton, Utah earlier this week on the Netflix movie "Bird Box."
In a statement tweeted Friday, the department says one of the drivers was participating in the Bird Box Challenge when the collision occurred.
"This happened ... as a result of the driver covering her eyes while driving on Layton Parkway," the tweet reads. No one was injured in the crash.
The Sandra Bullock movie "Bird Box," in which characters have to walk around blindfolded to avoid seeing deadly creatures, has spawned the Internet-driven fad in which people emulate the characters by walking around blindfolded. Last week, Netflix issued a plea for viewers to stop participating in the challenge.
