16-year-old James Critz and 15-year-old Isabela Perdomo, are both students at the Marine Academy of Science and Technology, a public high school on the Biscayne Bay Campus of Florida International University. The two were working on a marine biology project early Monday morning when the attack happened.
The attacker approached, they said hello. He returned a short time later with a branch and beat them severely.
