Buccaneers Sign Four Members of 2022 Draft Class

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed four members of the team’s 2022 draft class: running back Rachaad White (third round, No. 91 overall), cornerback Zyon McCollum (fifth round, No. 157 overall), tight end Ko Kieft (sixth round, No. 218 overall) and outside linebacker Andre Anthony (seventh round, No. 258 overall).

White (6-0, 214) played his final two collegiate seasons at Arizona State, tallying 224 carries for 1,426 yards (6.4 avg.) and 20 touchdowns over 15 games from 2020-21. He also contributed in the passing game with 51 receptions for 607 yards for the Sun Devils. White ran for 1,000 yards in his final season at Arizona State in 2021, earning second-team All-Pac-12 honors to follow up Pac-12 honorable mention recognition in 2020. Prior to his time in Tempe, White played two seasons at Mt. San Antonio California College, earning first-team All-America honors from the California Community College Athletic Association Coaches. He is a native of Kansas City, Missouri.

McCollum (6-2, 199) played in 56 games, making 52 starts over five seasons at Sam Houston State (2017-21). He recorded 145 tackles (10 for loss), 54 passes defensed, 13 interceptions, and six forced fumbles over his collegiate career. In his senior season in 2021, McCollum was named third-team All-America by the Associated Press and first-team All-WAC. McCollum was also named first-team All-Southland in 2020 and second-team All-Southland in 2019. McCollum was a team captain and all-county performer at Galveston’s Ball High School in Texas – the alma mater of Tampa Bay’s all-time leading receiver, Mike Evans.

Kieft (6-5, 265) played in 49 games over five seasons at Minnesota (2017-21), recording 12 receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns over his collegiate career. In his final season at Minnesota in 2021, Kieft blocked for an offense that totaled 4,681 yards and averaged 25.5 points per game, earning All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors in 2021. He is a native of Sioux Center, Iowa.

Anthony (6-4, 251) played in 35 games, making 16 starts over five seasons at Louisiana State (2017-21). He recorded 55 tackles (11 for loss), 10.5 sacks, and two passes defensed over his collegiate career. In his final season in 2021, Anthony returned a fumble 33 yards for a touchdown in win over Central Michigan and had recorded 3.5 sacks before suffering a season-ending injury in the third game of the season. He is a native of New Orleans.
