Bucs Get Their Running back In Third Round In Vanderbilt's Vaughn

Buccaneers fans believed the team was going to take a running back on the second night of the NFL Draft, but most didn't think they'd have to wait until the third round to do so.

Tampa Bay used their 76th overall pick, and the 12th pick in the third round to select Vanderbilt's Ke'Shawn Vaughn.

Vaughn played two seasons with the Commodores after transferring from Illinois. He was third in rushing yards (1,244) and led the SEC in yards per carry (7.9) in 2018 before having a down senior season in which he still rushed for over 1,000 yards (1,028, seventh in the conference), and still carried the ball nearly 200 times (198, third in the SEC).

The 22-year-old is the third SEC running back to be selected in this year's draft, following LSU's Clyde Edwards-Helaire (32nd overall by Chiefs) and Georgia's D'Andrew Swift (35th overall by Lions).
