Most Impressive: Tampa Bay Buccaneers AT Carolina Panthers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Mike Evans

It’s tough to find a silver lining in a game where the Jameis Winston committed six turnovers and the Bucs struggled heavily in all three phases of the game before ultimately falling to the Panthers by a score of 37-26.

Within any team performance, however, there are some individuals that show out. Here are the Bucs’ most impressive performances from Sunday’s game.

WR Chris Godwin

Despite Winston’s shortcomings, he still managed to total 400 passing yards, and a huge chunk of those went to the Bucs’ most impressive pass-catcher to this point in the season, Godwin.

Two weeks after his monstrous performance against the Rams, where the second-year receiver hauled in 172 yards and two touchdowns on a franchise record-tying 12 receptions, Godwin had another huge day against the Panthers. Godwin hauled in 10 of his 12 targets on Sunday for 151 yards.

WR Mike Evans

Evans had one crucial drop near the end of the first half that could have put Tampa Bay in position to add points before halftime, but otherwise had a really big day for the Bucs’ offense.

After being held without a catch in the Buccaneers Week 5 matchup against the Saints, Evans was targeted a team-high 17 times. Of those 17 targets, Evans was able to rack up nine receptions for 96 yards, and while he didn’t find the end zone, he was able to bring in a ball that was tipped up in the air for a successful two-point conversion in the fourth quarter.
