I HATE these calls!! I can't tell you how many times I've received them, and it breaks my heart to hear that people fall victim to them. Fortunately, that is NOT the case in this video. A scammer called a Officer Kyle Roder of the Eau Clair Police Department in Wisconsin, who just happens to specialize in educating the elderly on scams.
The scammer left a voicemail informing Officer Roder that police would come to arrest him if he didn't hand over his personal information, so Officer Roder and fellow cop, Detective Don Henning, called the conman back and caught him tangled in his lies.
At the end of the video, Detective Don Henning assures viewers that no sheriff’s office will serve warrants from the IRS.
The department also stated that they will not pursue the scammer since he is likely located outside of the country, but released this video in the hopes that it will save some people from getting hoodwinked.
