The Tampa Bay Lightning (13-11-5) defeated the Seattle Kraken (8-13-7) 4-3 in overtime on Saturday night in the Pacific Northwest.
Anthony Cirelli got the scoring started in the first period, before Nikita Kucherov scored his first goal with 44 seconds to go in the first and gave Tampa Bay a 2-0 lead.
Seattle scored the next three goals to take a 3-2 lead before the Lightning had an answer. Nick Paul tied the game at 3-3 at the 7:09 mark of the third, and that would be the final score heading into overtime. In overtime, Nikita Kucherov hit a wrist shot at the 3:12 mark to lift the Lightning to a second point and a 4-3 win.
Andrei Vasilevskiy went 26-for-29 in net in the victorious effot.
The Lightning now head to Western Canada where they'll play the next three games beginning in Vancouver on Tuesday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Canucks is scheduled for 10:00 PM on Tuesday night in Vancouver.
