An invasive species is blamed for shutting off power in one South Florida city.
The city of Lake Worth Beach says an iguana caused a "large scale" outage on Wednesday.
A tweet notes the outage occurred at the city's substation on Sixth Avenue, but did not elaborate on how the iguana triggered the power to go out on the Southeast side of the city.
Lake Worth Beach Electric Utility says crews were working to repair the damage and restore power. No word on how many customers were affected.
It's not the first time something like this has happened in Lake Worth Beach. In April of last year, a large iguana climbed a breaker and caused the loss of power for nearly 3,000 customers.
