A crowd of people outside a Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop in Delray Beach Wednesday night weren't shouting for the frozen treat.

"I scream you scream we all scream for Israel!"

The pro-Israel rally was organized by the Boca Raton Synagogue after the company announced recently that it would stop selling its products in what it called "occupied Palestinian territory."

Ben & Jerry's says it was "inconsistent" with the company's values.

Rabbi Efrem Goldberg says that Ben & Jerry's board of directors had to be called out for their stance.

"It's a boycott position. It's part of a BDS movement, which has been declared anti-Israel. It's been declared antisemitic. It's unlawful in more than half of the states in the United States of America."

A member of the corporate office showed up at the store along Atlantic Avenue while the rally was ongoing, and thanked protesters for "making their voices heard," but he reiterated the company's stance.

Governor DeSantis wants them on a watch list of companies that boycott Israel.
