Starliner spacecraft ready for another attempt to reach the Space Station

Boeing's Starliner capsule was rolled to the launch pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on an Atlas V rocket Thursday morning. The trip was planned for Wednesday but had to be postponed because of internet issues and the weather. Among the many looking forward to Friday's unmanned test flight to the International Space Station is NASA Administrator Bill Nelson.

"The Flight Readiness Review last week- it was smooth as glass," Nelson said. "It indicates the hard work- the preparation that went into making this flight successful."

Nelson says now if the weather will only cooperate.

"The only thing really I'm concerned about tomorrow is there has been consistently a thunderstorm at 3 o'clock in the afternoon for the last week."

Launch is set for 2:53pm Eastern time Friday. Instead of astronauts the capsule will carry supplies to the ISS. This is Boeing's second attempt to reach the orbiting lab after a failed attempt in 2019.
