Tampa Hosts Boat Parade to Celebrate Stanley Cup Win

TAMPA -- For the second year in a row, the Tampa Bay Lightning will celebrate a Stanley Cup win with a boat parade.

This year's event will take place along the Hillsborough River starting at 11 a.m., passing by the Convention Center, then down the channel between Davis Island and Harbour Island. Following the boat parade, there'll be a land celebration at the Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park starting at 2 p.m.

Tampa will have hosted three championship boat parades in a year. The Bucs' Super Bowl parade went viral when Tom Brady tossed the Lombardi Trophy to his wide receivers on another boat.

Tampa Mayor Castor says that if the Stanley Cup falls into Tampa Bay, police divers will get it out.

After the parade, there's a party planned at Julian B Lane Riverfront Park at 2 pm.
