$5,000 Reward Offered In Murder Of College Ball Player In West Palm Beach

The West Palm Beach Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward in the murder of a college baseball player.

Officers found the body of 21-year old Derek Becker inside his apartment along Community Drive last month.

Cops say the infielder, who played for Keiser University and was named after Miami Marlins CEO Derek Jeter, had been shot to death.

While the police department is offering the $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Becker's killer, folks who call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS with information could be eligible for an additional reward of $3,000.
