Pence Tells Clearwater Crowd, '20 Vote is on America Remaining American

CLEARWATER -- Vice President Mike Pence delivered the Republican case for reelecting President Donald Trump in two speeches in Pinellas County, the backdrop for the kickoff of his Faith in America tour.

"I'm here for one reason... Florida needs four more years of President Trump!", Pence told his audience at a Clearwater event.

His speeches at Starkey Road Baptist Church in Seminole and the Hilton Clearwater touched on similar themes... pointing out the Trump administration's selection of conservative judges and calling the 45th President "the most pro-life president in history." At his Clearwater speech, Pence referenced the move of the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

Pence also referenced the COVID-19 pandemic and the administration's response, saying that the "American comeback has begun" as eight million jobs were added to the economy following the 22 million lost to closures for the pandemic.

"We're opening up America again and we're opening America's schools again!" Pence shouted to cheers from the Clearwater crowd.

Pence referred to the President's main opponent, former VP Joe Biden, saying the choice in November is not between red and blue, but "whether American remains American."

Pence said Biden and the "radical Democrats" would set American on a path of socialism and decline. He described their agenda as raising taxes, red tape, abolishing fossil fuels, and defunding the police. "With this president and administration, we will always back the blue!" Pence shouted to cheers from the crowd.

Pence also visited a crisis pregnancy center in Pinellas County, a term for facilities that offer childbirth and adoption services to pregnant women as an alternative to abortion.
