Skipping breakfast can be a real killer. Researchers found that people who skipped breakfast every day had a nearly 90-percent higher risk of heart-related death, compared to people who ate breakfast every day.
Some of the health problems from not eating breakfast included higher blood pressure, higher levels of cholesterol, and overeating later in the day. Other breakfast-skipping downsides tied to higher heart disease include being overweight, drinking heavily, smoking, and being physically inactive.
