YouTube Banning Dangerous Pranks, Challenges

YouTube is banning videos of dangerous pranks and challenges due to concerns about possible deadly consequences, all thanks to videos like the Tide Pod challenge, and the fire challenge, in which people poured flammable liquid on themselves and then set themselves on fire.

YouTube said it won't allow videos, quote, "that can cause death and/or have caused death in some instances."

Also banned: pranks that, quote, "cause children to experience severe emotional distress" such as faking a parent's death or shaming a child for mistakes.

Content creators are have two months to remove content that violate the ban before it fully goes into effect.
