Last week we were talking about how Burger King has a deal where you can get a Whopper for one penny if you order it on the BK app while within 600 feet of a McDonald's.
A guy named Boyce Harvey in Los Angeles tried to take advantage of it, but for some reason it didn't work out so well.
Instead of charging him a penny for the Whopper, the app charged him $1,093.91!
He notified Burger King, and they say they're going to work with him to figure out how he got overcharged by $1,093.90.
On an interesting side note, today is National App Day. Since Burger King announced the "order a penny Whopper at McDonald's" campaign, their app went from about 400th most downloaded in Apple's app store to number one in the span of a week.
