The Lightning have signed two more unrestricted free agents on this first day of signings, inking forward Brian Boyle to a three-year deal, while goalie Evgeni Nabokov agreed to be Ben Bishop's backup on a one-year deal.
Boyle, 29, has spent the last five seasons with the New York Rangers. In 82 games last year, he had six goals and 12 assists along with 56 penalty minutes. His career-high in goals has been 21 in 2010-2011.
Nabokov, who will be 39 this month, has spent the last three seasons with the New York Islanders, going 15-14 in 40 games last yeat with a 2.74 goals against average and a .905 save percentage. The former All-Star and 2000-2001 Calder Trophy winner has not played in more than 42 games since joining the Islanders from the San Jose Sharks in the 2011-2012 season
