Yep, I'm Still A Kid.

Back when I was a kid, I remember watching an old TV version of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Maybe you've seen it...Jodie Foster was in it.

I was spellbound by the prospect of running away and living on a river. I was not even slightly unhappy with my home life as a child, just in love with the idea of adventure. Imagination and reality often blurred. My brothers and I built rafts out of scrap wood and old milk jugs. We jumped ramps like our hero, Evel Knievel.

I left home a few times during my preteen years, hoping to find the perfect place to build a log cabin and survive among the wildlife.

These days, I still love to get away and explore new places. That's why I've lived all across the United States (although radio also had something to do with it).

Now, as I sit here in the 98ROCK control room, wondering where my childhood went, I glance down at my shins. GAS and CLUTCH are proudly and permanently emblazened there. Not only to remind me as I get older, but to remind me to fight off growing up every step of the way.
