Listen to Garbage on iHeartRadio

Garbage fans may only have to buy one new calendar before they buy the band's next album.

Drummer Butch Vig tells Billboard that they hope to get into the studio this June to work on the follow-up to last year's Not Your Kind of People.  And based on the speed with which they finished that record, Vig thinks they could have a new one out in the spring or summer of 2014.  He adds that he and his Garbage bandmates are all excited to make new music and have all been getting along as they travel the world supporting Not Your Kind of People.

Vig says they've moved past the frayed relationships that led to the seven year hiatus after 2005's Bleed Like Me," and are back to acting like "a little, dysfunctional functioning family."
