HUDSON, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Pasco deputies say a 17-month-old child discovered at the bottom of a Hudson pool Tuesday morning by his mother. They say he is expected to recover.
Deputies say it happened on the 11000 block of Pinto Drive just after 9 a.m.
When they arrived, deputies say they discovered a 17-month-old male had been pulled from the pool and revived by his mother, who performed CPR on the boy. That morning, deputies say the child was playing with his siblings in a bedroom when the mother briefly left the room. Moments later, they she discovered the sliding glass door that led to the pool at the home was opened, which had been closed and was typically locked.
Although the child was alert and showing good vital signs, deputies say he was flown to a local hospital by helicopter for safety precautions.
