TAMPA (970 WFLA) -- A new survey shows employers expect to keep hiring during the springtime.

According to Manpower's Employment Outlook Survey, 21% of Tampa Bay area companies interviewed plan to hire more employees from April to June, while 6% expect to reduce staff. Another 68% expect to maintain their current workforce levels and 5% are not certain of their hiring plans.

“Hiring activity is expected to remain unchanged during the second quarter of 2014 compared to Quarter 1,” said Manpower spokesperson Judy Leppla.

Manpower says that the best job prospects are in these fields: Construction, Transportation & Utilities, Wholesale & Retail Trade, Information, Professional & Business Services, Education & Health Services, Leisure & Hospitality, Other Services and Government. Manufacturing will remain unchanged, while financial activity firms plan cutbacks.
